Died during attack in H.M.T. Aragon on the Egyptian Coast.
His Majesty's Troopship Aragon was a transatlantic liner that had been converted to carry troops during WW1. She was hit by a torpedo from the submarine UC-34 near the etrance to Alexandria Harbour after a voyage from Marseille. Around 3,000 were on board. 610 died.
