From the Manchester Evening News, 4th February 1916, page 2, column 4:

Mrs Long, of Cheapside, Hyde, has given all her sons to the service of their country, and two of them have been killed, while another is a prisoner of war and a fourth has been seriously wounded. The latest victim is Private John Long, of the Worcestershire Regiment, who was killed in the Dardanelles on January 1. In July last [year] Mrs Long received a message from His Majesty congratulating her on having given her six sons to the service of the country.
