Born in Hyde
Wounded by a gas shell on September 25th shattering his left forearm. He received treatment in France before being transferred to Whalley Military Hospital. By the time he arrived Septic Poisoning had set in and the arm had to be amputated. Sadly he passed away after the operation.
Soldiers Effects Record state died October 2nd 1916.
