Died a Prisoner of War.

Two “Kipling Memorial”s are described in official records for the cemetery at Vis-en-Artois.
Their inscriptions are:

To the memory of these two British
soldiers who died as Prisoners of War (1918)
and were buried at the time in RUMAUCOURT
GERMAN CEMETERY, but whose graves are now lost.

Their glory shall not be blotted out.

One memorial may have been temporary, and one more permanent?, but we are unsure if either or both still exist.
