From the Manchester Evening News, Friday 5th May 1916, page 4, column 6:Private Harry Duckworth, Syddall Street, Hyde, aged 24, who went to France nine weeks ago, was killed on April 25th in his sleep, by a shell. Before enlisting he was employed in the spinning room at Barnfield Mill. He was married only three months ago.
